Brisbane Airport in lockdown

Post by Black Orchid » Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:46 pm

Brisbane International Airport is in lockdown as Australian Federal Police respond to an incident.

The airport has been evacuated and trains have been stopped, with Queensland Police advising people to avoid the area as specialist police are on the scene.

"Police have made a declaration under the Public Safety and Preservation Act tonight at Brisbane Airport due an emergency situation," Queensland Police said in a statement, adding: "There is no further information at this time."

There are unconfirmed reports of a man with knives in the terminal and the threat of a bomb.

Several Ambulances have been seen arriving at the scene according to passengers waiting inside the terminal.

A man has been charged after Brisbane Airport's international terminal was shut down when he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife.

A 50-year-old Surfers Paradise man has been charged with one count each of contravene a domestic violence order, stalking with a weapon, stealing and serious assault police.

He has also been charged with two counts each of making a false statement which can be inferred that there is a plan to damage or destroy a commonwealth air navigation facility, bomb hoax, and common assault.

Queensland Police said the incident was not terror related.

The incident began just before 9pm on Saturday, Brisbane time (10pm AEDT) in the terminal's food court, when the man allegedly pulled out a knife and placed a metal object on a table, claiming it was a bomb, after an argument with a woman.

It triggered a major response from the Australian Federal Police and local police, who locked down the airport for more than two hours and halted the airport train services.

Police confronted the man and fired non-lethal beanbag rounds at him, at which point he surrendered to officers.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me. Now where did Fraser Anning find out the religion of the perpetrator? Or is this just a case of cause of his general Islamophobia showing itself again? Tut, tut.

Firstly bwuannnnnnnnn cheers because he thinks the nutter isn't a muzzo.

And then, when he discovers, to his chagrin, tgat the nutcase is in fact a muzzo.
He starts apologising and attacking others.

Well, bwyannnnnnnn
It certainly makes it very clear where your loyalties lie.

Bwyannnnnnnn is an islamophile, through and through.

A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Nope, still no mention of the perpetrator being a Muslim anywhere, except Fraser Anning. Funny that, and him an Islamophobe as well.
