I don't know why Libs aren't talking about this all day, every day.

This isn't just going to effect the rich, anyone who's planning to retire on their super find will be rooted.

The lefties are talking about how the super guarantee hasn't gone up, yet this will effectively drive it down in real terms.

My mum is shitting herself on this.

My mum was self funded and I would be worrying for her too, but she passed recently so I don't have to worry about her now. She also paid a considerable amount of tax and I think this is not only appalling but an incredibly stupid and negative move.

Both parties have borrowed to the extreme.

Maybe if they didn't we'd be in a 1929 type depression?
Most, if not all of our debt has been on waste.

If the Government of the day - Rudd's - had followed the advice of the Tories of the day - Abbott - about how to react to the GFC, Australia would have experienced a recession like all the other countries of the world. Australia and Poland were the only two nations not to experience a recession, Bobby.

Before the Labor Rudd/Gillard/Rudd Government lost power in September 2013 the Liberals, under then leader Abbott, repeatedly – even ad-nauseam – told the Australian people that the level of government deficit was crippling and a looming disaster that future Australians would have to pay dearly to address.

The deficit only increased during the Abbott and Turnbull Governments.

In February 2016, having achieved nothing toward improving the government's income/expenditure ratio, PM Turnbull announced a huge increase in spending on 'defence', at a time when there were no obvious external threats to the nation. (Terrorism was a minor threat, but not one from which conventional armaments could protect the nation.) You could and you would be wrong, as usual, Serial.

The Pink Batts issue has saved Australian households millions of dollars in heating and cooling costs. This means that millions of dollars are not being spent on electricty/gas/oil to heat/cool houses. A not inconsequential saving. It was, I am quite willing to admit, mismanaged but the end result has been excellent for the Australian economy. The deaths were regrettable but what I find interesting is that not one employer has been prosecuted for shoddy workplace management and safety issues while the ALP Government gets crucified when ever it is mentioned. Funny that, hey?

School Halls programme has provided much needed school halls which many schools lacked and wanted. My own children's school received one. We and all other parents were glad that they built it and it didn't cost us a cent, directly.

Child Care is an endless problem no Government has done well in this area. Of course, you, a Tory ignore the failings of the Tory Governments in favour of attacking the ALP. I believe all education should be nationalised and provided by the Government at all levels, to get crims out of the field and get good wages for the workers and good facilities for the kids. Private education should not receive a cent of Government funding - it invariably is spent on capital works, not the education of children anyway.

Australian built submarines. The COLLINS class are the largest, best equipped, quietest conventionally powered submarines in the world today. They had their share of problems but we still did better than the UK's RN which welded a hull section on one of their nuclear submarines on upside down and the US's Navy which had to scrap an entire submarine when they discovered the hull's welding was inadequate to the task it would face. The COLLINS class was Australia's first attempt at building submarines. First attempts always have problems in their management and execution. Those have been overcome now and the COLLINS give good account of themselves - when they have crews. Crewing is the last major problem the RAN has and that is more a symptom of management and the civilian economy than design. Oh, and there were no comparable submarines available. The RN's UPHOLDER class were sold to Canada and they all turned out to be real dogs. They still some 15-20 years after procurement have not got them all into service, yet.
Desal plants not in use - blow up the first time they get turned on
Desal plants are a State not a Federal Government responsibility. Blame the states (invariably Tory Governments).
North/South pipelines gathering rust
Again, another State Government responsibility.

Looks to me like your blame game has failed again, Serial. Tut, tut.
