krudds a dudd

Post by sprintcyclist » Sun Feb 21, 2010 3:23 pm

he's just hopeless, cut through the feet of verbal diarrhea and there is no substance.

The government's response to the global financial crisis stimulates trouble in spades
Kevin Rudd at the ACTU congress in Brisbane on June 3 last year:

BEYOND the immediate term the government also acted early to support the economy in the medium term through shovel-ready infrastructure projects, including free ceiling insulation for around 2.7 million Australian homes.

The PM on Thursday:

LET'S just call a spade a spade. There are problems with the implementation of this program. We shouldn't run away from that, that's just a fact.

Peter Garrett preens himself on ABC radio's AM on February 12:

NOT only have we rolled out a program to over a million homes, not only have we provided the energy efficiency opportunities to families and households, the energy cost savings and the like, and the employment that came through the fiscal stimulus package, but . . . we've brought through a regulatory framework for ceiling insulation that was never there and we've addressed as necessary the safety issues and lifted the bar on safety when it was required.

Garrett yesterday:

THE risks identified at this point . . . cannot be managed to an acceptable level and so it is appropriate, timely and responsible to announce the closure of this program.

Fairfax correspondent Tim Lester, on The Sydney Morning Herald online, stands up for Garrett:

THE Howard government rolled out the troops going to Afghanistan but we don't blame, or didn't blame, John Howard when a soldier dies, do we?

Rudd tells the ABC's Chris Uhlmann on May 13 last year:

WE are looking at the worst set of global economic circumstances since the Depression. We are in unique times.

The Reserve Bank's Glenn Stevens tells a Senate committee yesterday:

THIS situation is quite different from those faced by the major economies. Whereas many of them had their worst recession since World War II, we had probably our smallest............

Sprint, his response to the GFC is one of the best regarded in the world. The outcome he achieved is among the best in the world.

Howard was booted out because the majority of voters are stupid right Sprint?

Costello was lucky because China landed on his lap.He didn't have the guts to stand up for the leadership let alone manage the economy.
Productivity nosedived under him because of the so called workchoices.
Hoarding money is not good unless it benefits the country.Gave 3 miserable dollars to the Pensioners. If I was a pensioner I would have send him a letter with 3 dollars to insert in his hemorrhoids.

Sprint, the coalition managed to criticise every move Rudd made - moves which have been lauded as helping to keep us out of recession. The coalition would have us believe we should have sat on that war chest while we went into recession.
