Melbourne is certainly getting a dreadful reputation. With Gargasoulas’ trial being high profile at present victims and witnesses are making headlines around the world saying Melbourne is not a safe city.

If I lived in Melbourne I would get a gun and not hesitate to use it if anyone tried breaking into my home.

It is disturbing to me that someone would point out that another person doesn’t live in Melbourne any longer and therefore shouldn’t care.

I also heard on the wireless yesterday that the Wyndam Vale Mayor came out and blasted the kids defending themselves against these African Thugs.

Where was his voice when the African Thugs were kicking in doors during the night, car jacking, bashing’s and Armed Robbery?

I would liken this to a war situation - no one wants to do it but you need to do so to save your country.

The law is not acting and/or actively looking the other way - what choice do these people have in defending their home, businesses and family?

The governments and law enforcement have “forced” this on the people to take their own action.

Businesses in certain parts of Melbourne are now also arming themselves to protect their business, family and customers.

If I lived in Melbourne I would get a gun and not hesitate to use it if anyone tried breaking into my home.

You would be guilty of using a gun for self defence, Black Orchid. You would also be guilty of any harm you caused your attacker - if your life or some else's life was not directly threatened.
