My father started work at 13 years of age, nearly 100 years ago.Bobby wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 6:37 pmHi Valkie,
the worst part about it is that people who deserve help are not getting it.
These are Australian workers who have worked hard all their lives.
What if someone who wound his
weary way to work all his life and
was sucked dry of every last penny
of tax but then when the tables were
turned and they needed help -
Centerlink -
discarded them like a cigarette butt
as they were no longer useful?
That's what happens 100s of times every
hour in this country.
The Govt. only wants to know you when you're working and paying taxes.
If the Govt. was honest they would tip DSP applicants out of their wheelchairs
and kick them to death on the floor.
At least we could call the Govt. honest.
Instead they play games lasting for years and years while those
DSP applicants have to sell their houses and everything they own
to try & put food in their mouth and get some help.
Meanwhile refugees, who have contributed zero to our economy get the red carpet laid out for them.
It's almost a case of - how much would you like?
They drive new cars and get a low cost place to live in at 1/3rd the market rate.
They then start popping out babies one after another to get even more welfare -
it's a successful business model.
You and me are paying for that.
He worked 6 sometimes 7 days a week for most of his life.
He joined the airforce in the second world war, but was never sent overseas because he made planes and repaired them in Australia.
He was not an ambitious man, preferring to work in a simple job rather than educating himself into management, to be honest, he had little money to even consider furthering his education with a family and a mortgage.
At 70 he retired, he was incapable of continuing work, he was worn out, far too long in my books.
he also had an invalid wife who could no longer walk, so this 70 year old man pushed the wheelchair everywhere.
He never owned a car, never had the money, besides, he was blind in one eye and not so good in the other.
Mom was his ears and eyes, he was the motor.
The pension he got was pathetic.
I had to fight tooth and nail to get a reasonable pension for him and mom, because she was 10 years his junior and they wanted a disabled woman to work.Bastards.
The grubberment, to who he paid taxes all his working life, gave him nothing.
Constantly creating problems that had me hounding them nearly every month for 4 years.
They had all sorts of excuses and always paid late or too little.
Moms DSP was always missed or late.
But 2 days after she died they notified us that the pension would cease forthwith.
I have seen what the grubberment does to good hard working people like my parents, like my uncles and aunts.
I will not put up with it.
I am the proverbial pain in the arse to any and every Public Serve Us asshole who does not do what I want, when I want it.
I dont play games, I go straight to their managers and the ombudsman without hesitation.
I write to politicians, I copy in newspapers, I complain so often and so loud that they will do almost anything to see the back of me.
I even sat in a Councillors office for 9 hours once because his secretary said he was away, and I knew he was in there.
He had to deal with me, and he hated it.
The grubberment is a collection of the worst of humanity.
They may have been human at one stage, but in time the system and the other creeps destroy any humanity that there ever was.
They backstab, white ant and abuse any who try to change the pathetic mentality of the system.
Skill and ability are not assetts, they are seen as threats to the good old seniority rules to reward mediocrity.
I would love to see our grubberment fall.
To see a true revolution, one that wipes the slate clean.
I know it would only be replaced by anothr, but at least there would be some consolation in that at least one lot got their comeuppance.
