At least they caught him early which is no compensation for Aiia or her family. I hope the trial is not presided over by one of these wrist slapping limp judges. They need to throw away the key.

What about -

Not guilty by reason of insanity.

He can claim insanity if he likes so long as he is locked up in a small room for life.

But after 3 years of medications he can say -

"I'm alright now"

and be back on the streets.

Not if a decent judge rules otherwise. There is always appeal though.

Tell us, Bobby, how well has capital punishment worked to deter crime in the US?

This is a terrible crime. You are assuming of course that the man they have arrested is automatically guilty - always dangerous before he has been arraigned before a court and judged over the matter.

If he is found guilty, you as assuming that the judgement is sound - again a dangerous problem.

If he is guilty, he deserves to have the book thrown at him. His life in gaol will not be pleasant.

What I find interesting about this crime is the ethnicity and the religion of the victim and the way certain people are reacting to the crime...

He is innocent until proven guilty.
He hasn't even been charged yet.
I hope they have the right man?
Imagine if the real psycho killer is still out there!

I am not racist - the first one to be retrospectively hanged should be Adrian Bayley.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -bail.html

Heartbroken Melbourne residents join the father of murdered Israeli student Aiia Maasarwe
in an outpouring of grief - as it's revealed alcoholic wannabe rapper arrested over the killing

was out on bail

Why was he out on bail?
This is just like Adrian Bayley.
