This sort of thing can really only be examine against the Parliamentary regulations, Cods. Then you have what other parliamentarians have gotten away with. Why is there no interest in Cormann's antics? How about Ley's? Sarah Hanson-Young's total looks bad until you examine it closely. Why haven't you commented on that, afterall, you're the one who is claiming this thread is about S-H-Y.

She is not prepared to examine it closely that is her problem.
SHYs expenses are no worse than (in fact better) than half the other pollies when you accept the period of time they are over.
Its a usual Murdoch paper beat up!
BTW I hate SHY and her party but fair is fair and we should be able to see that in what we read!

Why bother? We have a thread here devoted it seems to the supposed misuse of Parliamentary benefits. Why not discuss it here? Why bother with a new thread, Cods?cods wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 4:30 pmwell reading SARAH IN THE TITLE threw me a little I guess.brian ross wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 1:29 pmThis sort of thing can really only be examine against the Parliamentary regulations, Cods. As I have pointed out - twice now - S-H-Y is not guilty of misusing her Parliamentary benefits. Cormann appears to have misused them and so does Ley. Is it because they are Tories you're not interested in commenting about their antics? Mmmm?

Most of the Pollys abuse their travel allowance.
This thread is about the abuse by SHY.

Re: Sarah spends $1 mill on travel.
Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young left a $20,000 debt to taxpayers unpaid for almost a year, even ignoring an official payment request made on the very day she was in parliament trying to block budget savings measures.
Yes, sure, they all do it and it needs to STOP!!GREENS Senator Sarah Hanson-Young has defended spending more than $3500 in taxpayer funds on a whale watching trip for her and her daughter, saying she was just doing her job.
The South Australian Senator has admitted to charging the September trip to the Great Australian Bight — where she guzzled oysters, took selfies, and spotted dozens of whales — to the public.
After the overnight trip Ms Hanson-Young posted more than 20 pictures to Facebook showing mother and daughter enjoying themselves on the pristine coastline.
I particularly dislike SHY though.
