House Republicans introduced legislation this week that would allow the federal government to use money and property seized from Mexican drug cartels to pay for border security, which could potentially break the gridlock in Washington over funding a wall.
Following President Donald Trump’s Oval Office address on Tuesday night, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin announced his plans to reintroduce the Build Up Illegal Line Defenses With Assets Lawfully Lifted (BUILD WALL) Act.
According to a news release from the Republican, “This legislation would direct money and assets seized from Mexican drug cartels to be used to increase border security between the U.S./Mexican border.
“In addition to building a physical wall, the funding may also be used to construct other types of barriers or to implement technology-supported solutions where appropriate,” the release said.
Sensenbrenner argued his legislation offers a way out of the stalemate over funding the construction of a border barrier.

Nope. Americans. Where do you think the drug cartels get their money from? From the sale of drugs to Americans.

so people like Brian, stop bullshitting please - that would be Great
Trump never said that Mexico was going to write them a blank cheque to build the wall, he said that through trade deals they would fund it - like NAFTA for instance
why is it so hard to understand ??
or is it, that you do understand but you refuse to acknowledge it in front of the forum?
I think the latter...

Trump has never quite had the numbers in either house due to Traitorous Democrats and/or RINO's who went to the election on Trumps policies, won their seat, and then did a complete backflip.
think McCain, Ryan, Flake
where are they now?
McCain was executed for Treason
Ryan and Flake were forced to take an early retirement
Trump now has the numbers in the Senate due to his Historical 2 seat extra margin but the Lunatic DNC have the control of the house
and they WILL NOT pass the Bill to fund the wall.
americas political system is the weirdest thing I have seen....
I am surprised anyone understands it....
mind you we are no better
we have some one in our senate who actually got 19 votes........can you beat that?
we have got to be a laughing stock.. we change PM every two years .. and we are about to get a PM who actually stabbed two sitting PM in the back...from his own side
hows that for loyalty?.... some people in our country are not at all fussy who they vote for..
thats just insane - thats not representing the people - thats just someone doing dodgy preference deals
exactly!!!! but thats what we have got and so far remember this all 19 people who voted for him are in Qld...yet he and his family have all travelled as far as Perth WA...S.A... Vic and Nsw....all in the name of working for QLDers.....he is now spreading hatred making not nice speeches....claiming its all what Australians want........
this is the type of system we have .....
we did have a senator who's soul claim to fame was throwing kangaroo poo........
do we get what we deserve????????
I laugh its the only way to stop yourself banging your head on the brickwork..

So, basically Trump lied when he said that Mexico would pay for the wall, right? In reality, it is the American citizens who will pay for the wall. There is no way legally for Trump to extract money from Mexico to pay for his wall. He will instead impose tariffs on Mexican goods and services and who will pay those tariffs? The American citizenry. So please, stop obfuscating about who is going to pay for the wall. It will be America, not Mexico.

Actually we don't. Fraser Anning received no votes. He replaced Malcolm Roberts who was disqualified because he was not an Australian citizen when he stood for election, Cods. Malcolm Roberts received 19 votes. Fraser Anning has never faced the Australian people in a general election.

Wrong
watch the link I gave you for goodness sakes
Trump says he'll get Mexico to pay for the wall through renegotiating NAFTA - and/or a Tax or something similar
what did Trump do?
He renegotiated the terrible one sided NAFTA deal in which Americans save Billions of Dollars
Mexico IS paying for the wall

Donald J. Trump
✔
@realDonaldTrump
I often said during rallies, with little variation, that “Mexico will pay for the Wall.” We have just signed a great new Trade Deal with Mexico. It is Billions of Dollars a year better than the very bad NAFTA deal which it replaces. The difference pays for Wall many times over!
