The national debt has trebled cods and a budget surplus is tax revenue not spent, well that was easy
Can you tell us all when was the last time Labor had a surplus and paid down debt?

Opposition leader Bill Shorten struggled to remember the last time Labor delivered a budget surplus during an awkward exchange with Today host Karl Stefanovic on Wednesday.
"I guess I was an adult," Shorten said, but only after making a weird, rolling-tongue mumble while trying to think of an answer.

PSA: This actually happened (Hint: Labor's last surplus was in 1989) #ausvotes #auspol

That can’t be right cods - surely labor have made one in the past 30 years?

Nope and God help us all (and the following government) when they don't have 'free' money to splash around

This is another reason that Labor want to lower the voting age - because these millennia's are used to getting stuff handed to them for free off their parents all their live - and now they think thats just how the world works including governments.
come one came all Free Shit for everyone !!
someone else will pay.

December 17
Australia's budget will soon return to surplus for the first time in a decade, according to the government's Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook.
This year's budget predicted a deficit of $14.5 billion in 2018/19. That forecast has fallen to $5.2 billion.
And the government is now expecting a surplus of $4.1 billion in the 2019/20 financial year - to be followed by years of surpluses afterwards.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
