As sorry as I feel for the families, it actually really shits me that people are so bloody stupid and swim in such obviously dangerous areas.

You don't need beach experience to realise that swimming right next to a river that's raging with flood water + an outgoing tide and going into big surf is asking for it.

I have no idea where they are from other than reportedly from western Sydney, but I'll bet the pot they're Indians.

They can drown themselves to their hearts content, but look at how many people they also put in danger to rescue them.

They are Indian and I agree that these idiots put more than their own lives at risk. The news said one was named Mohamed. I didn't realise that was a name commonly used by Indians.

Yeah, guessed it. Lots of Muslim Indians.

Just this arvo I went for a walking the beach while daughter was surfing (I should have been with her but we know why I wasn't) and right down the south end in the spot they call backpackers rip, a family of Indians was swimming and a few more meters they'd be off the sandbar and out to sea.

The mother was on the beach and I mentioned it's a dangerous place to swim, she looked at me like I just told her to go eat a sacred cow.

I have a friend who lives at Nelson Bay and she says the Muslims have now taken to going there in droves during the holidays. She reckons they are an absolute nightmare at the beach abusing people, needing saving all the time because they swim where they shouldn't thereby putting others at risk, using boats dangerously where they shouldn't around swimmers, ganging up on people etc etc etc.

Then, when they leave, they leave their rental accommodations in a disgusting state. The locals hate them and won't even go to their own beaches during the holiday period.
