The ones who walk along having imaginary conversations seem pretty harmless (loud but harmless) but who knows? I give people like that a very wide berth.

I remember, when I lived and worked in Sydney, I used to catch the bus (to go home to Woollahra) in George Street, (near the Town Hall) and there was this really weird guy who used to walk up and down the street (not the footpath), just a few yards/metres or so, looking for "the coming of Jesus"! He was harmless and, according to the comments at the bus stop, had been doing this for years. I doubt he is still doing it.

There's one near where my youngest went to primary school who walks up and down talking to himself very loudly. Everyone says he is harmless but there was another one (male) who walked around in a skirt and socks and everyone said he was harmless too until my son came home from school one day and said the nutter in the skirt and socks walked past his school and punched some kid in the stomach.

So you never know.

I just noticed a group on Facebook wanting "free things for muslims" and it had 18,000 members! Why not just free things for people in need in general?

... Christ is "old hat", obviously, and Muhammad is the current "in thing" ... among the idjits.

Are people just going along with the flow or are they actually becoming Muslim?

I understand that "recruitment" is rife in Gaols .... most prisoners say they are "innocent", so they are delusional and would take up anything to have a whine and moan about "their cause". Some even think that "becoming religious" gets them an early release ... and in some cases it has!

Bring back Mental Institutions.

Actually, back in the day, these "harmless nutters" weren't diagnosed with anything.

Nowadays there is a whole list of "mental" issues that people are "diagnosed" with (and given meds for.) I'll leave it up to somebody else to post a LIST of these "disorders".

I live opposite a huge old people's home

It's quite well managed, but some of the elderly have dementia and are, sort of, out there.

Occasionally one will escape and wander across the road and knock on our front door looking to visit a friend or family member.
They are harmless, usually quite frail.
My wife invites them in for tea and bikkies and speed dials the home.
They come and collect the old dears, and take them back.

They generally leave with no problems and enjoyed their "visit"
It cost nothing, and it keeps them safe.

My wife is a wonderful person.

An 18-year-old will remain behind bars after being charged with stabbing another man to death in a Sydney hair salon.

Fredon Laith Botrus, 18, didn't apply for bail and it was formally refused by magistrate Robert Rabbidge when he appeared in a Parramatta court via video link on Saturday.

The teen was arrested at his mother's house yesterday after he allegedly stormed a hair salon in Bossley Park and stabbed a 20-year-old inside.

A bus driver has been injured after being attacked with a knife in Sydney’s west.

Just after 1.30pm, emergency services were called to Blacktown Railway station where they found the driver, a man in his 30s, with a cut to his ear.

It is alleged an 18-year-old passenger attacked the driver before fleeing on foot.

On the news the other night they were reporting an attack on a woman but I can't remember the details because I was distracted and busy.

What I do remember is them asking for people to assist and call crime stoppers with any knowledge of a man "of average height and wearing blah blah blah".

When trying to catch criminals before they strike again, particularly sexual predators, why is it 'wrong' to describe their race? Caucasian, Indian, of ME appearance, Asian, black, whatever. It's not racist. It's common sense.

You can bet your bippy that if he was white they would have said so yet this sort of restricted reporting only puts more people at risk. It's insanity.
