Our green party were built from the remains of a few far left parties, re-branded as the green party and haven't looked back. they hold around 8% of the popular vote, they would have us all living in caves again.

Pretty much, NZ is a bit more 'English', Aussie is a bit more American.

NZ has had the advantage of having a good PM for the past decade or so. He is gone now.
