Hate to point out the obvious, Brian, but if anyone lives in the past it is most definitely you!

Indigenous Australians were not the simple, nomadic peoples which they have become portrayed as.
Today, there is archaeological evidence that they farmed, that they had extensive aquaculture and large settlements - in some areas of Australia. Their development was not even or uniform. It has always suited the white colonists to portray them as being brutal and nomadic, it made stealing their land easier. That theft has been largely recognised and Native Title offsets their losses to some extent by fitting their ownership into the existing Colonial tenure structure which the Colonists established.
Many here prefer to believe the old Racist viewpoint because to admit that was wrong or incorrect unsettles their world view. They'd rather see their fellow Australians dispossessed of their land, their heritage, their culture, their children than admit any wrong doing on their ancestors' part. However, historical evidence refutes that. History is being rewritten. No, it doesn't have to be a Black Armband view but it needs to be much more balanced rather than the Three Cheers view.
The Culture Wars are still ongoing but slowly, the keel is being levelled and the truth of Australian colonialism is being revealed.

Lol, hahahaha, sorry, couldn't hold myself. That was funny as hell. You wrecked him.
The one that says the least can often have a very different perspective and hold the answer. The least qualified person may hold the most wisdom. When you don’t have knowledge or experience blocking your perspective, you can see problems and solutions.

I think you believe the world was flat at one point.....
its a fantasy bri they fished they threw boomerangs and probably rocks before then at kangaroos they ate berries and ants... and guess what bri bri..
they still do in the far outback... if they farmed as you claim why are they not still doing it......they still fish with a spear...
another guess for you bri they are NOMADIC they were pretty smart like that when they had eaten all the berries and most of the fish in the hole were gone they realised they had to move and move they did.......and guess what again bri... THEY STILL DO...
the full blood aboriginal is nothing like the almost white ones you believe in..... my guess is it was the almost white ones that may have done any farming and even then I dont believe it.............seriously you need to get a grip bri...

Have a read of Joseph Banks' Endeavour Journal recording what he saw when they first landed in "Botany Bay" in 1770.

Australian have long held the idea that all Indigenous Australians were simple hunter-gatherers. It enabled them to more easily dispossess them of the land and take it for themselves. Appears that myth has been destroyed at last - Rethinking Indigenous Australia's agricultural past
Speaking of Windschuttle, as I don't doubt some people here will, here is a copy of James Boyce's (author of the acclaimed book, "Van Dieman's Land") Quadrant Article which PP McGuinness then editor refused to publish which demolishes Windschuttle rather well. It is well worth reading
Aboriginal Village
Vic bushfires uncover ancient Aboriginal stone houses
Indigenous owners hope ancient eel traps will be recognised as world heritage
There is plenty of evidence that the Indigenous Australians were a varied lot, with simply nomadic lifestyles in the centre of Australia to more settled existence around the periphery.
