I don't support banning stuff and I'm very liberal in that instance, but dog eating and cat eating I will ban. I see a photo like this I need to post it quickly because my gag reflex actives.
How about some Bardi Grubs, an indigenous (aboriginal) favourite, I believe. Brian can probably tell you how to find and prepare them.
Never tried them. I have eaten once, when in the Army on a survival course, Witchetty grubs. Interesting flavour, rather like almonds. Many societies around the world have eaten insects in their diets. Insects may well be the future for us if climate change upsets the normal animal life of the planet.

How would you know if they were mashed up?

Insects, vat grown meats and so on are the suggested future for proteins.

They have vat grown protiens now and some of them appear to be rather palatable, I eat a lot of meat, I am not always comfortable with the amount i consume, I have around 35 lambs and ewes and a couple of cows on the property and a chest freezer and a bit full of meat, I have gone off beef a little of late but have half a cow to eat lol

Or you could just go with Green Can Dreamtime and sit around on welfare and drink lots of VB (beer).

I don't know what the Maori do in New Zealand but I am sure that BigP (or Sprintcyclist) can bring you up to date.

Still better than a dog or cat. I don't cringe by seeing bugs, not that I would eat them. It's just something about dogs and cats. I've had pets, I don't know. It's just sick. Protect your cats and dogs from Brian.

Brian O'Connor + jokes obviously don't go well together.

Brian doesn't do "sense of humour".

That lot (above), sitting around, on welfare, drinking copious amounts of beer are our so-called "indigenous peoples" (Aboriginals i.e. Abos). They are well known for sitting on their arses doing nothing. Only the white/blonde/blue-eyed "Abos" make something of themselves. Brian could be one of those. :thumb

Oh, and despite what Brian says, we do have lots of INDIAN people in Australia too.
