I have said that for a while trouble is our wonderful senate stops the govt from changing the laws where we can cancel citizenships and when they are born here not sure how we go on that one.........I think we may have to let them return....... and with out stoopid laws they can probably sue us.....

maybe if we tell them they face 40 years in jail if they ever return....

Preferential voting! I think that people should just NOT VOTE rather than tick an Independent. You don't even have to go and get your name crossed off the Roll ... it's only 20 bucks.

Peter Dutton was on Sky News a little while ago, talking about immigration. He said that we should cut immigration drastically and have ZERO immigration from areas that have people who do not fit into Australia. Don't quote me! That's how I heard it.

I don't believe in preferential voting either but I would rather vote for an independent to make a statement that I am totally against the major parties ... than just waste it and donkey votes are just that ... wasted.

EDIT: Even though Bob Carr has finally come to his senses, he hadn't back then, and he was voted in for a dozen years or more in NSW

I read an article yesterday that even though an overwhelming number of Aussies want immigration to be cut/stopped that Dutton said that we will not necessarily cut immigration to Islamic countries because Australia is not 'discriminatory'. These idiots need to get their crap together before the next election.

Preferential voting should be OPTIONAL, not compulsory. If I want to vote for Joe/Jane Bloggs, I should be able to just mark that as 1 and forget the rest of them.

IDIOT>>>> you must realise that apart from first past the post, only optional preferential voting is fair and democratic.
Otherwise if you don't number every candidate your vote is counted as invalid or your vote can go to someone you don't actually don't want it to go to.
