The topic does not say ALL Africans. It is a generalisation and I don't know the full statistics and can't be bothered looking them up. Perhaps you could look them up? Anyone can cherry pick a few from the many on any topic. Unfortunately a vast many Africans are not educated. I found that average IQ of Africans is 68.5 but that does not mean that they ALL have an IQ of 68.5.

We show that studies of 29 acceptably representative samples on tests other than the Progressive Matrices give a sub-Saharan Africa IQ of 69; studies of the most satisfactory representative samples on the Standard Progressive Matrices give an IQ of 66; studies of 23 acceptably representative samples on the Colored Progressive Matrices give an IQ of 71. The international studies of mathematics, science, and reading give a sub-Saharan African IQ of 66. The four data sets can be averaged to give an IQ of 68 as the best reading of the IQ in sub-Saharan Africa.

I could say that muslims would tend to have a lower IQ but I am sure Brian could cherry pick a few from the Middle Ages to try to dispute that. That doesn't negate the statement on the whole though.

The misuse of IQ as a measure of intelligence is quite astounding, really. Only people who do not, cannot understand what Intelligent Quotient is measuring, rabbit on about it.

IQ is a measure of reasoning, not of intelligence. Most IQ results are based on old-style testing, done in the early-mid 20th century when IQ tests were culturally and "racially" inappropriate to many Third World Cultures. Giving an IQ test designed for a early-mid 20th century American to an African or Pacific Islander or Indigenous Australian or Asian tribesperson would be pointless but that is what was done. In reality, most people are of average intelligence. Once everybody has the same level of education, the same level of cultural understanding, they all score appropriate levels of "IQ".
