Indonesia vs Australia
Ok, so who is running this country.
Are a bunch of radical muslims upset with Widodo have the right to tell us where or where not we can put our Embassy in Israel or are we a sovereign nation with a representative government that makes those decisions in the best interests of the country?
BTW there has been no decision made regards this embassy.
But if we go ahead the screaming meemies of the Left will go all anti-semetic on us and plaster the media with lies and claims and if we don't then it looks like a bunch of Muslims in another country is running the government.

If conservatives were smart, and let's be honest they're not, they would stay out of Middle Eastern politics altogether and run with a narrative for a two state solution.

Re: Indonesia vs Australia
Really, so should our Asian neighbours also keep out of ME politics?
BTW where we put OUR Embassy in another country is none of Indonesia's business full stop. Unless its in Indonesia.
Good to see you trying for a change LW... even if you fail.
BTW like the ALP and every other Australian government in recent years they do support a 2 state solution.

Re: Indonesia vs Australia
Just as we reserve a right to comment on Indonesian politics and foreign policy, so does Indonesia reserve a right to comment on Australia's politics and foreign policy. Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim nation. It is (supposed) to be negotiating a free trade agreement with Canberra and Canberra has decided to place Australia's head into the lion's mouth of ME politics in order to try (and failed) to win a bye-election. ScoMo is going to make the nation pay a price for his attempt to pander to Jewish voters in Wentworth. That his Government lost the Wentworth bye-election is simply icing on the cake. He has decided to run Australian foreign policy on politics, rather than good sense. Our embassy does no harm in Tel Aviv. In Jerusalem it upsets Muslims. It does not further the two state solution, it does not help us in dealing with Muslim countries. It is a complete WAFTM in order to ingratiate himself with el Presidente' Trump and nothing more.
