Abbott - Not the smartest
He graduated from the University of Sydney, residing at St John's College, with a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Wikipedia)
Then he goes on to say "If you look across the Tasman, New Zealand has done just as well it seems as Australia without going into anything like the same level of debt and deficit that we have." on the 730 report
When NZ has been in 5 quarters of a recession (a technical depression to some). That BEc must be gathering a lot of dust.

I don't much like the path Abbot is taking, but i guess it worked for Howard. I don't know how many times I have heard him say "great big tax" but i am well and truly sick of the scare campaign.

Interesting that he has studied economics, given that his latest 'carrots grow on trees' response to climate change throws economics out the window.
Re: Abbott - Not the smartest
That jaunt in the desert, to make him seem a man's man or something (sprinty loves Abbott, hmm) shows him taking no bloody precautions whatsoever! And the "being lost" was way overhyped by a fawning press. wouldn't want this idiot as PM!
