I have been assured that I have the mental age of a 15 year old, And I most certainly do have a back problem, But im a good earner , reliable and loyal, Not that its a garauntee of a sucessfull mariage, But at least the Doris knows I wasnt screwing anything with a pulse lol

Things are not what they used to be and most young people (especially those living and working in Sydney and Melbourne) cannot afford to live on one income and save for a house as well because rents now are huge too. As the years go by they need to make a choice to have children or let that pass them by. Most who do choose to have children cannot usually do that on one wage.

The wage to mortgage ratio now is astronomically higher than it was back in the day.

Both my daughter's work full time
And from them I have only one granddaughter.

But my son who's wife is a stay at home has given me 5 grandsons,

I realize that it's no longer a choice for most couples, but if you look at the stats.
Kids are generally less happy
Men are generally less happy
Women are generally less happy

The grubberment is taking in billions from many people working.

The grubberment want clones
Clones that work, pay tax and consume.
The more people that they can get working the happier they are.

The new social engineering model is to make all people exactly the same
No male, no females, just clones

Ideally they will breed, place the children in permanent day care, which will mean they have to work to have someone brainwash their kids into being clones.

The end result, millions of workers, working to consume and pay tax.

Where in all this is joy?

Even my own Mother wasn't pleased to be a "home maker". She started her own business. Selling plants and stuff to people (and designing gardens) just buying a new home.

NOBODY can afford to live on one income these days. NOBODY wants to do it tough. I did, way back when we went to the Butcher and my daughter was about 6 or 7 and I asked "how many sausages can you eat?'. I then ordered 3 for me and 2 for her. Simples. Haven't eaten sausages since.

My daughter and her husband, married in 1998. They rented several properties. Had kids and so forth. Eventually (2012 - I think) they got a MORTGAGE. She SAVED UP.

It is NOT their "forever" home, but is 4 bedrooms ... as far as I understand they are paying off the Mortgage (different rules now) and it will be theirs in a few years.

My eldest owns her home and has several investment properties.

But she works far too hard, I worry about her.

My youngest is just starting out, and she isn't sure if she will ever own a home
I'm sad for her, but when we pass, our money may help her out.
She is young enough and we are both 60.

Life is hard
