our power is going to continue to skyrocket because our leaders are ****ing morons...
Not just power. The price we pay for housing and food is atrocious compared to other countries.

I think Nick made some very salient points. Once the oldies are gone all we will be left with are the young SJWs and their identity politics.
We were ALL young, once upon a time. Old Pollies talking about whatever, are as boring as batshit. Oh, and I don't take too much notice of the "young" pollies either.
However, IF you live long enough there will be a change .... 25-30 year olds have an entirely different idea to what people like Hawke, Keating, Howard had.
In 15 years, Australia will be entirely different. I doubt I will be around in 15 years. In fact I am sure of it.

UNIONS! Basic Wage? What is it now ... $20+/hr? Do we still pay employees 17.5% Holiday Loading? The USA has none of this.
Australia has very high wages in comparison to the Rest of The World. Yet we still whine and whinge ... everyone THINKS that they are MIDDLE CLASS (money wise) ... no Lower Middle Class and definitely no Working Class.
I feel very sorry for those who live "on the streets" but is it because they were kicked out of Home? Don't they get the Dole? Maybe they how found friends there ....

Bill Shorten's decision to repeal company tax cuts for medium-sized businesses did not go to shadow cabinet, the ABC has been told.
Amid suggestions from Treasurer Scott Morrison that Mr Shorten had made a "captain's call", a Labor frontbencher said Mr Shorten's decision had come as a surprise.
The tax cut strategy was not discussed in a Labor Caucus meeting today.
Another Labor source said the company tax decision did not go through the Opposition's leadership team either, nor past the expenditure review committee.
Labor's leadership team comprises Mr Shorten, deputy leader Tanya Plibersek, Senate leader Penny Wong, Don Farrell, Chris Bowen, Tony Burke and Jenny Macklin.
One ALP MP said the decision was "risky" and would cloud the Opposition's attack line on giving tax cuts to the big banks.
Mr Morrison was quick to pounce on Mr Shorten's announcement.
"This is a snake and ladders game under Labor. It used to be the ladder of opportunity and now it's the snake of envy under Bill Shorten," Mr Morrison said.

MALCOLM Turnbull has widened the gap as preferred prime minister in the latest Newspoll, extending his lead over Bill Shorten to 19 per cent. Mr Turnbull has increased his preference rating by two points to 48 with Mr Shorten dropping two points to 29 in the last fortnight, according to the poll published in The Australian.
Labor continues to lead the coalition on a two-party preferred basis 51 to 49. In popular support both major parties lost a point, with the coalition falling to 38 per cent and Labor to 36 per cent while the Greens were on 10 per cent and One Nation on seven per cent.

Australia’s offshore detention policy is shaping up as a key election issue, but Prime Minister Scott Morrison has delivered a rebuke to crossbenchers calling for the removal of children from Nauru, declaring: “you don't negotiate your borders”.
Kerryn Phelps, the independent candidate and likely winner of the Wentworth by-election, has continued her calls for the Coalition to remove the remaining children and their families off Nauru.
She now forms part of a significant bloc with crossbench MPs calling on the government to end its detention policies there. This is what happens when you have too many independents at cross purposes
But the prime minister downplayed the situation on the island, saying Australia was actively working to cut the numbers of children detained.
“We've been getting the children off Nauru for years and, more importantly, we haven't been putting children on Nauru,” he said.
“We're now down to a figure of just over 50 [children] and we're continuing to work… to reducing those numbers even further.”
As medical professionals continued to call for their urgent removal, Mr Morrison said there was more medical staff on Nauru than children, and reports of the dire situation “aren't terribly well-informed”.
The PM also hardened his language towards Labor - which earlier this week flagged its support for refugee resettlement in New Zealand.
“You don't negotiate your borders,” he said. One of the few smart things he has said.
He said the New Zealand proposal was becoming a “pull factor” for detainees. DUHH!!
“There are those on Nauru who are starting to say 'I mightn't take the US option, I might have a better option in Australia'.”
He also slammed the Labor Party’s “mad policy” of putting “pregnant women on Manus Island” while in government.

You DO NOT use children as pawns and you should not be rewarded for doing so.
The time will come soon enough that all these 'refugees' will out-vote the apathetic and complacent Aussies and we will all be doomed.

Yeah, yeah, BO. You must lead a very insecure life. Very insecure, if you believe the number of Asylum Seekers represent a threat to Australian society and its polity. They are a drop in the ocean of our total population and will remain so. Typical capitalist viewpoint though. Cannot show people any mercy, nor allow them any safety, right? All 'cause they are tinted and worship a different God to you. Tut, tut...

Me? Nope. You? Perhaps. The way you act when you make such posts reveals a great deal about your mental makeup, BO. A great deal. You perceive yourself as a member of a persecuted minority it seems, despite actually being a member of the persecuting majority. Tut, tut.

you believe in boat people you believe the people smuggling industry is worthy of support..you believe allowing women and children to drown is ok because its the big picture that counts...those who dont drown get rewarded with the great aussie welfare system.....
not sure if you contribute in a greta way to paying for our welfare system.. but a lot of folks do and because they do object doesnt mean they are racist or they feel persecuted ... or are ev en persecuting.......they are just voicing their opinion.... like I believe you claim you do.....
or would you prefer monks site where everyone plays the same game....otherwise...!!!!!!!!!....
