I agree nef.....I dont even know what day it is for the most part... :rofl :rofl

I wear a watch not sure why though!
Ditto, Cods. I stopped wearing my watch and rings when I suddenly found my pinkie ring (made from my Mother's rings, several thousand dollars worth) missing .... searched everywhere and "last place I looked" was in the Vita Brits packet ... there it was, fell off when I was getting my breakfast! Just as well I checked or it could have been thrown out in the rubbish!

As far as what day it is ... who cares? It's TODAY, isn't it? :rofl :rofl
When we first moved into our new house
My wife noticed that her diamond was missing from her engagement ring.

There were tears, lots of tears
I said don't worry we can afford a better one now. ( we were not very weak.thy when we married)
Wrong thing to say, more tears.

I backtracked the street, the shops and the gutters around the house
( have you ever used a torch to look in a gutter on the street, I could not believe how many tiny pieces of glass there was)

Anyhoo, didn't find the lump of compressed carbon.

Took her to get another diamond fitted
Worth an absolute fortune to have a diamond sized to a ring
So we went cubic zirconia.

A couple of years later, the eldest was vacuuming the hall carpet when a glint caught her eye.
There it was, caught in the gap between the carpet and the doorstep.

More tears, this time happy tears
Got the ring fixed
But now she rarely wears it, afraid to loose the diamond again.

Sad eh?

And the damn days are shorter now that it's raining all the time

I am not a fan of it period. If I wanted it to stay light half the night I would go and live in the northern hemisphere.

I spent some time in a lovely little town called Turku in Finland

The first time I went there, it was daylight ALL THE TIME couldn't sleep.
I went walking at 2.00 am and it was like walking in the afternoon.

The next time, there was only sunshine for 3 hours a day
It was weird

Some winters they even drive on the ocean, it freezes over.
Not for me.
