Cancer, cured? No, I don't think so. "Cancer" is a descriptive word for a whole range of different diseases. They vary in many of the ways they attack the body and are also similar, many do so by over-replicating, destroying the part of the body they infest and spreading. They can be contagious (HPV - which I note we are starting to get on top of), HIV, etc. That they are given different names obscures they all come under the heading of "Cancer" in the medical dictionary.

We will more than likely never cure "Cancer" - there will always be new mutations, new diseases which use similar tactics to attack the body. We won't cure "Cancer" until we learn to make ourselves new bodies. A remote possibility at the moment but it will be found by people far smarter than me and a completely different life form to you, Valkie. Tsk, tsk.

I doubt we actually have a cure for it... too many people get it for it to be not profitable to cure.

The "cure" (chemo, etc) doesn't work ... depending on what cancer is diagnosed and whether it has spread or whatever, and the people I know who died from cancer said the treatment was worse than the cancer itself. They should allow people with cancer access to euthanasia ... get it over with once they have told their rellies they prefer to do so.

If I ever get cancer I shall refuse "treatment" and just ask for high dose morphine or whatever. Drift away ... peacefully.

No Nef cancer has been around for a long long time... some old masters even captured it in their paintings of topless women.
