Merry Fucking Christmas Cleaner.

The day cleaner in the building I work has been has been here for yonks. She is not just a cleaner, she is an institution. Everyone likes her, she does a great job and indeed does a lot of the building management’s job for them, like meter readings, mailing stuff, card checks on doors, covering the customer help desk, getting their lunch, making them coffee.

All for little pay.

So what happens, the building management changes her company, without consulting her or asking how she would feel about it, the new company cuts her pay (which the management got back to the original pay, they should have got her a raise) and the new company is rude to her all the time and now is shorting her pay two days.

To top it off, her new company brought in Christmas bottles of wine for the management and did not give her anything, not even a card! They did not even wish her a Merry Christmas!

Now this cleaner is thinking of looking for another job and we will never get another one this good.

Why are people such morons when it comes to management these days?

Just some simple consideration, a little empathy about the work she does the value she adds to the building and make her feel valued.

Does one have to be a genius to figure this out?

Still, I can drink and have sex in the stairwells so I am happy.

Why are people such morons when it comes to management these days?

Because all they can see is short-term dollars. By making decisions like these, it always costs more in the long run, and they lose tons of commitment and loyalty, but you can't measure that in money, so they don't.

Very bad to so undervalue someone Frogen. But what else can oen expect anyway from the world? It is pretty much pointless working if you ar elooking for any appreciation.

They should have given her a contract directly.

She was doing additional stuff for the centre which the contracting company that was employing her wasn't getting paid for.

Non skilled, manual labourors are totally under appreciated. That's what happens when people are a dime a dozen.

I offered to let her have sex with me but she said she can't work that many hours.

The other thing I can not figure out is why do people not appreciate a good cleaner?

I am security, not high on the status totem pole, (except when some punks are hanging around your car at night) but cleaners get no credit. None, zip, zero.

Think of this, how many time have you had to take a titanic shit, the shit of all shits, the Gilgamesh of shits; you go into a public toilet and it is so disgusting you have to stand up and do the Fat Man and Little Boy drop on Japan.

That sucks. Admit it, it fucking sucks, at that moment the cleaner is more important than your doctor, dentist or accountant.

A good cleaner matters!

But what else can oen expect anyway from the world?

I expect a lot from the fucking world.

This is why I drink.

That and the fact I love booze.

Which the world gave me.
