So off to Katter's crew and now virtually everyone is having hissy fits over his maiden speech containing the phrase "final solution" with regards to immigration ... muslim immigration in particular.
The general response has been that speech has finished off any chance of re-election, but I digress.
It's been pointed out numerous times that Anning got in on a quirk of fate with only 19 primary votes, so I theorise that his speech with the "final solution" reference was to enhance his chances of re-election, by #1 raising his profile with free media and #2 gaining the support of any neo-nazis in Kweensland, of which there's bound to be more than 19.

Ramsey Centre wanted a course they could control the teaching of. The Unis wanted to preserve their independence from external influences - particularly financial ones. If Ramsey Centre were serious about wanting to teach a critical course which examined Western "civilisation", then they would not be demanding who would be the staff on the course. It appeared to me and anybody else who understood that, the only ones with an ideological barrel they wanted to push was, surprise, surprise, the Ramsey Centre. Tut, tut.
