There are a gazillion piccies I have seen where some dude on the ground 'paints' a target, and some fucker lurking way up there ^^^^ releases a nasty which lobs right where the paint is......which is supposed to be where the baddie is.

Not from space, no. They're guiding in missiles launched from either aircraft or ships. Not sure we even have that capability?
