Re: Yoga thoughts
I like to stretch it out in the mornings, My Osteo tells as I have had a couple of hernias and my appendix out all on the same side it has weakened my abdominal's on that side so have some work cut out building them up again. I do a lot at work but it unfortunately makes me looks like I am taking a shit in my pants lol

I do it every morning in my daily workout for a damaged back.
We are all doing damage to our backs by sitting all day, not using our core muscles and not making our core strong enough.
Trust me
A bad back is a terrible thing to live with.
I have been struggling with a bad back for the last 8 months, Rather debilitating it has been, starting to come right, Been doing a lot of core strengthening
I have managed my bad back for over 15 years.
I do yoga a few times every day, only for a few minutes each time.
Downward dog, Cat, Cow and balancing table poses are good for me.
Whenever I feel 'tight' I loosen up. Am amazed how almost noone does anything for their own wellbeing.
They are 'too busy' to stretch, but can go to a chiro to get him/her to help them.
But when I was in China my back was giving me hell
One of the Chinese workers talked me into seeing his accupuncturist.
Using my friend as an interpreter, I explained my problem to him
Where it hurt, how it happened etc etc.
He then buses me as a pincushion for about 40 needles.
He explained that I was favoring one side because of the pain in the other side
This was weakeining the sore side and causing the muscles to become weaker.
He introduced pain into the good side to make me use the weak side.
Amazingly it actually worked.
3 years now I have much less pain.
I have found an accupuncturist in Australia and explained what was done
Now every 12 months or so I get a treatment.
No drugs
No operation
And manageable pain far less than before.
Trust me
The it, it actually does work.

Valkie - Did you do no stretching before, during and after the digging?
Did you work nonstop for over 30 minutes?
Did you use appalling body posture?
Did you not wear gloves?

No
Yes
Yes
Yes
Oh, I see, no wonder I'm in agony.
I'm popping pills at the moment
I have to get the damn thing up by next weekend
So the suffering will continue.
Then, when that's done
I have a fence to build.
Lots of hole digging
I might need a trip to the accupuncturist once I'm done.

You get top marks for answering honestly.
Almost noone answers questions like that.
1/ Will the world stop spinning if you do NOT get the 'damned thing up' by next weekend?
2/ Will you get more job satisfaction if you have less pain and do a nicer job?

There is no room in my home for all her stuff.
She is moving back for a few months until she sorts out a few issues.
We looked at storage, but they want $140.00 a week for a container the same size as the she'd I'm building.
When I'm finished and she moves back out, I'll have a great workshed, because the garage is full of car and camper..
The fence can wait though, until I get over this damn pain.
This afternoon, I finished digging out the ground to level it.
Then I put in the sleepers all around.
Then I shovelled 1.5 ton of blue metal into it with agg pipe to keep the area under the she'd dry and stop moisture.
Tomorrow, I'll put down the floor piers and the floor joists.
If I'm lucky, I'll even get the floor boards down ready for the she'd.
My framing nailer will at least simplify that job.
On Saturday night I'm on duty at my volunteer job all night.
Sunday I'll get a few hours sleep and then assemble the shed in the afternoon.
It only takes about 2-3 hours to assemble once the floor is down.
Monday, it's back to work.
Such a fun life.
