Supernova-
May be you are right. To put it into lay language would remove confussion.

How about this.

1) a version that is flowery like FDs and more so with a few thees and thous and some old english. Some legal language just to make us go to the dictionary. Like any good constituation.
2) a lay language version for us dummies.

Everyone is happy then.
agree Freediver and the link makes in to no clearer..

You have three. Annie has asked that her Membership be deleted. I did not do that in case she later wanted to return, so she is on the 'banned' list from which she can be removed any time she asks.

freediver, the current Constitution makes no provision for when these 'petitions' expire. In line with a recent query I made concerning 'sunsets' on Petitions, there was no dissent to the idea they ought expire after 14 days unless of course, the magic number is reached.

Yours on this topic has been going for in excess of 14 days, but I'll happily allow more time until Wednesday 16th December, 2009 at my 8.00 pm for you to rustle up seven more signatories and in default, I''ll declare this petition as failed and move it and any associated thread to the Secwet Woom.

Aussie, there is no provision for petitions to expire because petitions do not expire. If you want to change the constitution, you know what you need to do.

Please reopen any other petition threads which you have closed.

Annie's signature will count, unless you can come up with a better reason why it shouldn't.

mantra.

This thread would have to be one of the most humorous threads on this board. I'm surprised you're all still bothering about a spill.

I am have not changed anything in the 'Constitution.' I have had to interpret because of huge gaps inherent in the document you foisted on PA. And, I did not do that without reference to all Members whom I asked to assist me by voting. I did it with weeks of notice. Did you not see that?

Are you the elected Admin here, such that you can dictate to the person who was elected as Admin/'Exalted Leader'? By what right (apart from server ownership) do you claim the capacity to direct the elected PA Admin/'Exalted Leader?' I suggest you refresh yourself on the content of the Constitution. Your position is not mentioned. You have no Constitutional function or power. You demand that I respect the Constitution, and so I expect you to do so as well.

Annie's vote does not count as she is not a Member here. She was, when she voted. She then left the jurisdiction, taking her vote with her. But, have it your way if you like. When you get 10 PAers to support your trashy drafting, then talk to me. I think I asked you to gather that support by Wednesday night, this week. Good luck.

............or, if you want my co-operation and assistance, before you jump out here in PA public land, do the elected people, you know....the people who are doing the administration work, that is boxy and Hebe and myself......the courtesy of (a) acknowledgement that we exist, and following on from that, (b) the opportunity of discussing your proposals in Cabinet (that would be the Secwet Woom) first.
