I am contemplating getting a 'Whole of house' filtering system installed in our place.
That way all the water we drink, cook in, shower in, hose the garden in AND brew beer with will be free of chloramines, chlorine and sediments.

Will need a plumber to install it, cannot see a good location for it.

I wouldn't waste good water on the garden or shower. But other than that its a sterling idea..

This sort of filter goes on the main water inlet. So you get the whole lot done.
It'll probably be a 'better' filter than the wee ones people have on the sink tap.

I am an avid gardener, nicer water for that can only be good. We eat food from there and it may improve the crop.
Weird how tap water does not make the garden thrive. A rainfall makes it grow really well though.
I don't know if it is something 'missing' in the tap water or something 'extra' in the tap water.
But rainwater is very different to tap water for plants.

Often I can smell the chlorimine in the shower. Having nicer water over my largest organ can only be good too.

Rain probably falls over a loger period so penatrates further into the ground, thats not to say the residual chlorine in tap water doesnt kill a few micro oranganisms
