Bah humbug!! Australia deserved to win that.
No - they were too predictable.
Every time they got a breakaway and took the ball to the other end of the field to attack
at least 3 other Aussie players should have been running like
Olympic sprinters to help out the attacker -
but no they would keep their mid field positions.
The coach should be sacked
Midfielders should be running more interference for the strikers but what do I know?
Fact is that Australia had control of the second half of the game. They finally took risks by taking shots outside of the box and were unlucky. I feel we were the dominant team and should have won.

Timmy Cahill coming in in round 3.... a draw is better than a loss...
I got the impression they had a lot of nerves they need to toughen up...
Cahill didn't play. He was on the bench the whole game.

Hi Orchid,
whenever the World Cup is on we all become soccer experts -
didn't you know that?
The midfield should have helped the strikers more.

We need France to beat Denmark tonight and Australia to smash Peru. As much as I am not fond of the French I somehow really took a dislike to the Danish goal keeper and would love to see goals smashed past his smug and angry face.
Tim Cahill has a chance to go down in history with the likes of Pele, Miroslav Klose and Uwe Seeler as the only ones to have ever scored goals in 4 consecutive World Cups and I know there are pros and cons of putting Cahill on the field but if van Marwijk doesn't put him on for what could be our final game ... he will be facing a lot of angry Aussies.
Both games, Australia v Peru and France v Denmark are not on til midnight but I will do my best to watch.

TWO names will dominate the conversation in the lead-up to Australia’s do-or-die World Cup clash against Peru: Tim Cahill and Daniel Arzani.
Bert van Marwijk’s tactics, in particular his decision to play Arzani sparingly and Cahill not at all, have come under heavy scrutiny from pundits and fans as Australia has scraped just one point from two starts in Russia.
With the Socceroos relying on France to beat Denmark, and needing to win their own tie against the Peruvians, van Marwijk’s starting XI is being kept a closely guarded secret.
Van Marwijk will be forced to make a change up front with an injury to Andrew Nabbout but he is expected to name Tomi Juric in the starting line-up.
“I feel good and have been training well. I’m quite confident in my abilities and that I’m fit enough to play,” Juric said on Sunday.
But don’t expect Bert to give anything away until about an hour before kick-off.
“I am not going to discuss here players who play or don’t play,” he said in his final pre-match conference.
However Fox Sports reporter Daniel Garb understand Juric’s knee injury is still causing him problems, meaning in-form striker Jamie Maclaren is still in the mix.
Australia’s teen sensation has lit up the World Cup with limited minutes, attracting rave reviews and the attention of European scouts.
Indeed, he’s created four scoring chances in just 38 minutes — or one chance every 9 minutes and 20 seconds — which makes him the most prolific creator of any player at the World Cup.
Arzani’s likely place in the starting side would come at the expense of Kruse who was criticised for his misfiring performance against Denmark.
While Kruse worked tirelessly and worked himself into good positions, a poor first touch and a lack of conviction in scoring positions let him down.

Meanwhile Peru will be without star Jefferson Farfan after the winger was involved in a big training collision.
The 84-time international was rushed to hospital after a blow to the head suffered during a training session at Peru’s training base in Khimki.
A statement from the national team stated that “Farfan made an impact with the rival goalkeeper after an attack play, suffering a traumatic brain injury.”
The attacker is joined on the sidelines by centre-back Alberto Rodriguez, who hasn’t trained since suffering an injury in the clash against Denmark.
Meanwhile Peru’s skipper Paolo Guerrero says he wants to give his counterpart Mile Jedinak “a big hug” for the Aussie captain’s role in saving his World Cup dream.
Guerrero successfully challenged a year-long ban from the game after testing positive for cocaine, thanks in part to an open letter from the other Group C captains including Jedinak.
“I hope to give him a huge hug before the game,” Guerrero said.
A touching gesture to be sure, but from that moment on it’s all business.

Good.
how many boring goals did the aussie soccer team get during the whole comp ?
3 or something ?
2 were penalty goals, so they were consolation gifts for cripples.
how many games , 3 ?
Any fights ?
what a boring game.
