Rudd's promises
What did Rudd promise before the election? How is he going on following through with those promises? I think ratification of Kyoto was the biggest one, and he ahs done that already. The ETS seems to be roughly on schedule.
Re: Rudd's promises
He promised no Nuclear Power or International Nuclear Waste Dump which is the reason I voted for him and I hope that will continue to be the case throughout his, and hopefully all of Labors, tenure.
(Actually the promise of an anti-Nuclear Power/(International)Waste Australia comes from Labor, not Kevin Rudd, does it not?!?)
--> I have no complaints!

God this countrie's politics are as boring as cricket shit.
Which may be a historical blessing, boring countries have not history, and the Chinese can not curse us in Australia with anything approaching “interesting times.”

Not alcopop taxes: as a budding alcoholic I can tell ya that the ugly-drug-dealer-down-the-road, aka The Liquor Store, now has to entice with cheaper prices on spirits.Solonoid wrote:Lib lubbers have a list as long as your arm about the things hes stuffed up on. They are relentless.
They think Grocery watch is a farce..as is petrol watch..as is the "Computer for every child" electioneering platform and so on.
There is plenty of small stuff to complain about, but its early days yet.
"Huzzah Kevin 'point 07' Rudd, I say, huzzah!"

As long as Rudd and Gillard keep putting on the Iron Shirt and kicking Nuclear Power/Waste out of E'rt', i.e. Australia, then I am happy enough to keep voting for them!Solonoid wrote:JW Frogen wrote:God this countrie's politics are as boring as cricket shit.

It will get better Frogen..One of the libs will get pregnant ( Bishop or that other cross eyed bushpig ), sniff another seat or roll Brendan in the corridors of power..Costellos face might actually crack in half with that half witted smirk or Rudd might get his finger stuck up his nose and have to have a fingerdectomy...Howard might reappear only to dissappear right up his own arse ...for good this time to say "hello" to the worms that soon threaten to clean up his ricketty carcass in a few years time.
Maxine McKew will quit and go back to Lateline..she misses the bright lights of "your ABC"...
Keating will do another 7.30 Report and talk about coconuts and stuff who is the most wonderful Treasurer that ever graced Parliament.
Taxes and death aren't the only certainties in life..
Hold onto your seat..its all onward and upward from here . Tally ho.
Promise.
Although, wouldn't it be truly fantastic if Julia did, infact, lean over the bench one day and just say those magic words we all knew she had in her, "I know you are, you said you are, but what am I?!?"

The man promised a laptop computer for every aboriginal in Kyoto. He promised to kill some of those who work choices, and some of those who burn crosses, huh. He promised to coitus interruptus the troops from Iraq and to polish my furniture like never before.

Onward and upward to where?; theres no sign of any of this on and up and all the rest. In fact there are signs that Labor beleives that having a Union overlord in every workplace, school, church, and home, is far more prefferable than letting the individual engage in self-determination.
Indeed, listening to Parliament opens ones ears to the relentless march of total dictartorship. Nothing short of National Socialism, obviously.
Googling Labors' certain sitting oligarchs provides certain evidence of this fact, as does Labors use of body-doubles. We -Switch- were once a free country, now Labor will fully convert the nation to the most un-free country in the region. Using grand calamatous rhetoric, the threats of social disaster, and the Union (now) supported influx of 457 folk, Aus is being rorted, and the language of Labor in parliament belies any notion of good intent that Labor might otherwise have.
No doubt, with the use of the internet, Labor will secure the overlordship of the Union movement fairly soon.

but I quote me, because its true (sort of). With Labors "Education Revolution" being unfurled, we see that the above is being installed via Labor built Tutoring, and Union sanctioned Tutors. By having broadband and tutors in every other home at least, Labor will be able to assuage all the children in any neighbourhood of the Nanny-God Party state on the build. Broadband is so that the tutor can get access to the upper tier of the two-teired sysdem for the purposes of messaging to the Party system and the passing of household information in the form of Appraisals and on-going reportage of the tutored in any given house.
Not the Chinese or Soviet re-education model in this case, but definitely of 1984 vintage.

Odd that our prime tourist, the man who would be all things to all men, Mr Kevin 7-for-7, is off hanging out with the international spivs and politicians at a time of need.
We are left rudderless, the ship pirated by retards and daleks. Its weird (not) how Labor deals its hand of cards out on the platform of Marx-social functions. The Commintern would be well pleased with the gang of four and support crew in flight.
