Wild and Crazy Kangaroo.

Post by Rainbow Moonlight » Mon Nov 23, 2009 7:49 pm

What on earth would cause a Kangaroo to do this?
Would the dog have attacked it or something?
A man has been attacked by a kangaroo while trying to rescue his dog from a dam at Arthurs Creek, north-east of Melbourne.

The 49-year-old man dived into the dam to rescue his dog, which was being held down by the kangaroo.

But the kangaroo turned on him, leaving the man with deep cuts and scratches to his upper body.

"He suffered a deep cut across his abdomen, a deep cut across his face and eye and a number of scratches to his chest, face and arms," paramedic Michael Vosbergen said.

"We covered the wounds with pads and bandages and treated him with pain relief through an inhaler."

The man was taken to the Austin Hospital and is in a stable condition.

The dog was rescued.

There are a lot of Kangaroos hooning around where I live.

They are a belligerent race of jumping rats.

I box them when I have free time, and I always loose.

They kick my ass.

But then I take out my gun and they always become Kanga Bangas for my Sunday barbie.

Maybe you could make kangaroo haggis if you included their dog victims?

A wild animal is dangerous when cornered. It probably felt cornered in the water, and chose fight instead of flight. I know from experience that it can be very intimidating having a dog come after you in deep water. Just like on land, except you lose the height advantage.

The dog would have chased the kangaroo. The roo headed into the dam, the dog (foolishly) followed. Roos are renowned for drowning dogs in these situations.

If the guy had proper control of his dog, or had a clue, he should have called it off before it got in the water.

And not gone in after the dog.

He's fucking lucky to be alive. A Darwin Award candidate if ever I saw one, in Australia.

I wouldn't trust any wild animal that size, especially when cornered.

I remember one of my childhood friends getting biffed by a roo at one of those tourist parks.

Cuddly, they arn't :D
