8 hour eating window
I heard an idea of eating during only an 8 hour period of the day.
So fasting for 16.
Which is not that hard, you sleep for 8 hours, don't eat for 3 - 4 hours before sleeping.
So just sort of delay breakfast and you are close to it.
I often have done this over summer when I have stuff to do and want to do it before it gets hot.
So get up early, have no brekky and get into whatever it is I want to do.
By about 9:30 is it hot and I stop then.
Have brekky then and all is good.
So fasting for 16.

This is what we normally do, except tonight because we got back late. We normally eat dinner at 4, and don't eat again until 8am.
Working for us.

Yup they say it gives you many of the benefits of intermittent fasting without the pain.sprintcyclist wrote:I heard an idea of eating during only an 8 hour period of the day.

It makes sense to only give your body fuel that it's capable of burning off.
Can't really burn it off in bed.

That's one thing I don't find whilst watching these cooking shows. They don't make me feel hungry. They just make me feel exhausted.

Re: 8 hour eating window
It sounds like I am doing the right thing then.
I usually get up and out of bed by 6.30. Have a coffee and check the Internet.
8.30 have a shower and get dressed and do whatever.
9.30 turn on Foxtel and watch whatever I have recorded, plus breakfast (2 Vita Brit) and another coffee.
Lunch is around 1.00 ... depends what I feel like. Sandwich or something.
Then hungry again about 5.00-5.30 ... Have given up cooking and get Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice (microwave dinners).
Usually in bed by 9pmish and I watch TV till I fall asleep.
I still weigh the same as I did when I was a teenager. I only put on 8 pounds when pregnant .... and lost all that plus some after the Caesar. I eat anything I feel like, when I feel like. Never been on a diet.

I'm not dieting either, just like the convenience of protein shakes if I'm going to be busy.... like tomorrow.
Sometimes I get so busy I forget to eat, or realise 2pm is too late for lunch and just wait for dinner.
