Ridiculous.
Rubbish like this undermines genuine case's of sexual harassment.
He should have replied by stripping her blouse off -
and shaking her boobs in front of all the work mates there.
I'd say the pair in question have had numerous workplace incidents. Someone in the office is biter and made headlines of it to embarrass them both and cause trouble.
Pretty obvious.

And by "incidents" I mean playful folly which probably extends into their out of work activities.

Did you read the article BO?
This is a workplace conduct matter, not a sexual harassment case. Lol
Someone from that office is a troublemaker and will be outed for sure.
hi mellie..... did you read the opening line in the op..
THE state’s top prosecutor has ordered his lawyers in Newcastle to complete a
sexual harassment course
this wasnt meant to be about is it or isnt it sexual harassment its about TOP LEGALS needing to do a course on a subject they should know inside out..
it says in the article someone else made the complaint...... so we know it wasnt the "victim"
lets not forget give some an inch they will take a mile...... another male at the party could have seen what she did and taken it as an open invitation to touch her.........
but my problem is with legals who should know that any form of touching is out 100% friend or not....and to tweak someone ... in a sexual manner
not acceptable... I agree with the comments on how this would have been dealt with if the male in question had tweaked her boob....in PUBLIC....
not many men would complain about that happening to them........in which case what would this women have tweaked next had it been ignored...
I am just gobsmacked its the dept of the DPP..

you certainly have a good imagination mellie...
then again the guy involved could have been thoroughly embarrassed and talked to the person who reported it..
just sayin

Sounds like a storm in a bureaucratic teacup to me.
Well, it's Newcastle, they need all the headlines they can get.

Just out of curiosity, why did you name the thread sexual harassment Cods?
Do believe this to be more than a workplace behaviour issue, folly?
Behaviour misconduct.
Do you think we have a serial nipple crippler in our midst?
The article reads as though the male understood it to be a joke.
But this won't end here when the black shirts milk this to death, with a view to undermining genuine case's of sexual misconduct.
It will fall on deaf ears, because it is what it is.....an embarrassing workplace incident between two colleagues who are probably great mates that was reported by someone with sour grapes.

The article advised the course is available to staff, not that due to the incident, all staff are now required to partake in a sexual harassment course.

A course was provided, but they have not confirmed what kind of course it was.
