I think they are nuts

That's too much.
I do one 5k a week and hill sprints a few times.

That is just the start of the routine and yes I said it was too much. Made me exhausted just thinking about it.

The last time I did any running was when my daughter was 2 years old ... in a shopping centre when she decided to run off. They are like greased lightning at that age .... and I caught her before she got very far.

My girl is 11 and I can't keep up with her on the 5k anymore but I can still out sprint her.
My boy is 1, I hope I'm fit enough to run with him when he's 11

I have just never been a long distance runner. I love sprints and shorter distances ... or did ... but marathon type running is so NOT for me lol.
I used to tell the kids I would write them a note on cross country day but they always declined the note and did the run.

My wife was a sprinter and I'm distance. My girl is an ok sprinter but for all of her school days there have been two twins, half african who were a year above but same age. Finally they've left so maybe his year she'll win the 100, plus the 800 and 1500.

I feel tired just thinking about it but best of luck to her and I hope she does win, especially in her final year.

Just swimming and power walking for me.
That's enough, I don't want to wear my body out too quickly.
My orthopaedic surgeon smiled at me when I told him after I have my shoulder surgery I'll probably just stick with low impact exercise for cardiac health and general fitness.
I asked him what sports do orthopaedic surgeons dislike most.
His honest answer was EVERYTHING.
From an orthopaedic point of view he said EVERYTHING takes it's toll on joints etc.
Moderation is key.
I'm still going to gym, but having difficulty getting creche for the times I require, seems there's a group who book in before anyone else gets a chance to, months in advance.
