I'll be reaching out to the Prime Minister next week seeking a plebiscite on the citizenship and immigration questionnaire during the next Federal Election. This way only genuine Aussies have a say.

I agree. We should have a say about something so important. If we were permitted a say in gay marriage, why not immigration?

The government should collectively gather say 5-important questions to Australians and allow us to cast our vote towards them each election.

Sound fair?

While today might be the last opportunity for Aussies to participate in an online Federal Government survey on Australian Citizenship, we discovered yesterday the poll has been infiltrated by foreign interference.

Chinese, German, Brazilian and South Korean websites and social media pages have been blatantly telling foreigners to vote unlimited times from multiple browsers to influence the results.

I'll be reaching out to the Prime Minister next week seeking a plebiscite on the citizenship and immigration questionnaire during the next Federal Election. This way only genuine Aussies have a say.

If you wanted to have your say on this final day of the survey, go to:
I absolutely agree with Pauline on this and why were we not aware of it yet it is open to foreign corruption?

How can it represent Australian views? It is being used to review citizenship laws here! Unbelievable!

Effectively you are doing that on a far larger number of questions when you cast your vote for your MP, Mellie.

I am unsure why the lessons of Peter Cook's superb satire on Democracy, "The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer" are not known. It should be compulsory watching in every school. Direct democracy invariably leads to a dictatorship as people get fed up with having to vote constantly on issues they do not understand and never care about. They willingly vote away their power of delegation.

If you're annoyed with what the political parties are doing, hold them accountable, is what I always recommend. I am unsure why people forget the power that they hold in the ballot box.

It is merely taking soundings. Yes, it could have been better designed and run. However, it is typical of amateurs who create such surveys that they do not understand how they work and who votes in them.

The Constitution requires a referendum to change it. It is the Constitution which determines who can or cannot represent us in the House. All else is frippery, designed to appease Xenophobes. Australians are citizens of this fair and pleasant land. The conditions under which they become citizens are presently, IMO, fair and equitable. :thumb

You have a problem with immigrants being required to understand and speak English, Brian?

If you went to live in France or Germany would you not feel the need to learn their language? I know I would.

100% it sounds "FAIR"

thats all anybody wants.. some fairness and to get a say...

remember when stupid Kevin bloody Rudd got Australians 100 Brightest morons to come up with all these non ideas??

like you say... when can we all have a fricken say???

each election come up with 20 or 30 questions on the Ballet ..... we number them 1 to 30 in importance to us..

I want a say in our Energy generation... I want a new clean coal fired power station in every state... build a Nuclear Power station.. .

but we never get a say... we are getting controlled by the UN... our pollies are grovelling to them instead of listening to US...

they could have added questions to the plebiscite as we were spending so much money on it...

but they don't want to listen to us..

they are a pack of rsoles... lol

how do they know that any one of Bill Cosby accusers are telling the truth???

how can they get a guilty verdict without any evidence and only hear say???

my own thoughts is that he is as guilty as hell... like Harris..

but without physical evidence how on earth do you get a conviction???

ME2... = Men are just guilty... evidence or not.. :|
