Oh, dearie, dearie, me. "Abandonment" means obviously different things to different people it seems. To em, "abandonment", means you are implying we are abandoning the Philippines to their fate with the Chinese, which I have never suggested. Indeed, I would suggest my suggested view is that we are actively helping them. To you, "abandonment", means you believe by actively imposing sanctions on the Chinese to the point even of imposing a naval blockade, we are abandoning them.
