Actually it does, if you understand what attachment is. I am prepared to answer what attachment is, but it will take some work. I will do the work if you are in this to actually debate the points, play the ball, and take the topic seriously.

When my daughter was young, she was friendly with this girl at primary school. There were 2 girls in this separated family and the parents took turns to have the girls ... week about ... all the girls had to do was bring their school bags, everything else was provided at both houses.

I met both parents and actually worked with the father. The mother was a teacher. So. I let my daughter have sleep overs and when asked, all I said was "are you at Mum's or Dad's this week?"

Turns out that the parents divorced because the female fell in love with another female. He "shared" his 2 girls, week about, as I said. He eventually died from Leukemia, a nice bloke.

Outcome was that my daughter lost touch with the girls but when she met up years later, the youngest was Lesbian. The older one married a bloke. All went to ANU.

So whether living in a lesbian household made a difference ... I doubt it.

Maybe they would not have turned out gay if the tendency was not there to begin with though?

I have 2 friends who had a similar background. First one had 3 siblings. 1 brother and 2 sisters. They lived here and one day Dad packed them up and took them back to America, dumped them there, then came back here to live with his secretary. She hates men and started to live a gay life later. Her siblings are all straight.

2nd lot came from NZ, 4 boys, and when the boys were teenagers Dad declared he was gay and left them to live with his boyfriend. They all led a reasonably friendly life beyond that but all the boys were mega stuffed in the head. None 'became' gay but mega emotional problems which manifested differently in each one of them. Dad many years later died of AIDS.

It's a strange world.
