No they are not but the Australian public school system has sadly very much lost its way in recent years. It is more focused on boys being able to wear dresses if they want to, everyone gets a prize so there are no hurt feelings and the three r's have fallen by the wayside thanks to progressive ignorance.

That's really good news Gordon. The more the resources the more kids will find something that really fits with them because the main thing with any school, public or private, is that the kid is happy so that they can thrive in their own way.

On the topic, I think it was you orchid who spoke about the dreadful state of Australian public schools. I actually favour a voucher system where each parent gets x to spend on the school of their choice. I think schools should be privatised.

I think all selective and OC schools should be abolished and every school should have classes for high performing students.

Agreed. Add to that children with special needs shouldn’t be in mainstream classes.
