Adoption of children by gay couples

I work in an allied health field where I see many children who can't, for various reasons, live with their parents. Gay couples should be allowed to care for these children, or adopt other children. All children need to thrive is secure attachment (which is the template for trust). The sexual orientation of their primary caregivers is irrelevant.

I'm talking specifically about men here.
When gay guys first come out they go through a stage where they're extremely promiscuous. In Sydney gay men can go to about a bunch of establishments where there will be 50 or so guys nude in a room ready to go.

Most of the gay guys I've known say there is a phase in their life where it gets out of control and their lifes are just total debauchery.

Imagine if straight men could get unlimited sex 24/7, they'd act exactly like gay guys, and that would not make for a good home for a child.

I'd want to ensure 100% the gay couple are totally thru that stage.

.....this is all my personal experience from working in an media/arts in East Subs sydney where I was a minority straight guy.

I'd get an older and mature gay guy to interview them.

That's a good start. You could also look at longevity of relationship (ie have to be in a stable monogomous relationship for minimum 3 years).

The tests for hetro couples are also very stringent. They separate the man and the woman and ask them questions. One of the questions they ask is to rate the quality of their sex life, 10 being excellent and 1 being abysmal. It's incredibly invasive, but if one of the couples says 9 and the other one says two, you know you've got a problem.

But on the face of it, it appears we're in agreement that gay couples can raise children.
