Re: Whinge thread
Update on the clothes steamer which I bought months ago and have had sitting down in the garage until today.
Don't buy one lol.
Taking it back and buying a new iron instead.

Taking in washing? lolol Me??? Ummm nope!!
I get sick of the boys leaving their shirts around after THEY wash them and before they decide they might need ironing. I thought the steamer might inspire them but after trying it out myself yesterday I decided that it's more hassle than even ironing.
Effie looks awesome!!! I want one
Storage for freshly washed shirts AND ironing all in one!!! YAY!!

I don't iron. Period!
My husband wore business shirts and took them to the "laundry", he preferred to do that than iron them. Cost was minimal, wife irritation zero.

There'll be new reforms in this household as of 1 January onwards.
Business shirts will be affected.

Yes. This came about with me (who hates ironing), spending one Sunday afternoon ironing about 20 of his business shirts! We lived in Sydney and he would shower and wear one business shirt to work, then when he arrived home he would shower again and put on a clean business shirt! Getting his shirts laundered at least saved me the hassle.lisa jones wrote:Oh thanks for that tip Nef.Neferti~ wrote:I don't iron. Period!

Car is in the shop and I need the shopping done so I decided to do it online.
Coles site is down in NSW and has been since last night. No chance of delivery today and probably not even tomorrow GGGRRR.

I do the ironing in my house and it's very minimal. I wear tshirts to work and 1stborn's school uniform, only the cotton collared shirt needs an iron.Neferti~ wrote:I don't iron. Period!

Being a retired dude these last many years, I only wear business shirts to funerals these days.
However I have discovered those very fine polyester polo shirts that golfers wear they never need any ironing so you just hang them on a coat hanger is all that is required.
