Why should children not get your entire estate? You should be able to bequest to whomever you wish.

The only time I see contesting a Will to be in order is if a parent cuts just one son/daughter out. Of course, it all depends on the circumstances.

Doesn't matter the amount of the estate. Everything I own will go to my kids and that is how I think it should be.

I agree with that too.

Kerry Packer had 2 kids. Gretel and James. As far as I know, James was the main beneficiary ... being a boy.

You can distribute your Estate to whomever you wish ... but ... if somebody gets their knickers in a knot, they will "contest" your Last Will and Testament. Making lawyers rich.

Those who have 2 children would, obviously, share the spoils. However in some instances, the girl gets less than the boy.

It still means that your WILL can be contested and I think that stinks!

BO I used to live around the corner from him and I'd often see him walking his dog at the local park and he always looked depressed.

Hi dad was a hard man and despite him growing up with everything he needed I suspect nurturing was not one of them.

Yes money certainly cannot buy love and nurturing. I have heard he is actually a really nice person and I feel pretty sorry for him all round.

How would you feel if you never knew if someone was really your friend or just another parasite wanting to hang off you? Trust issues must be paramount.

It must be a dreadful life.

Gretel Monobrow copped a nice income for life, too..... she's sort of the deformed sister in the cellar fed on fish bones and plastic cups of water .... :S

Movie stars and such have the same problem - so many hangers-on and that's why they have a very small circle of friends. Those I've mingled with have always been very easy to chat with because they know I want nothing from them and I treat them as equals and human beings ..... I've been mistaken for one or two of them in the past... still happens.

As a theatre owner I was there once with a crowd of luminaries (I'm never seen there - the classic silent partner), and some were looking at me with that wondering look.... no - I'm not HIM.. or HIM, either... I'm just me.

Elon Musk apparently has the same problem. I would hate to live a life like that. I think the only people you would be able to trust would be very long standing friends.

If i was him, pack it in, appoint someone to run it. Sit back and spend a little of daddy's hard work or just live off the dividends for life.

Oh and spend a little on a cook and dietitian plus a gym membership in a cool place full of rich women.

Depression is not like that, I have been informed and have had mild bouts of it.
You can't just 'kick back' and chill.

I heard he has so much money he could by a brand new rolls royce every day, drive it till it runs out of petrol.
Just leave it there, because tomorrow he will gets another new one, all gassed up and ready to go.
That would not spend the interest on his money.

So I can see his problem. Where is the struggle, the meaning ?
