The card game Bridge

My mother was NOT a card player but a bunch of her friends wanted to get together to play Canasta, 500 and Euchre so I got roped in to it too to keep her company when they all came around.

It was fun at the time but I cannot even remember how to play now.

Agree. 500, Canasta and Euchre are easy to forget. Apart from the Bridge Clubs, I doubt anyone gets invited over now, on a Winter Saturday night, for a game of 500 in front of the open fire and no booze.

I think someone tried to teach me to play bridge once, and I instantly disliked it.

I was pretty young, 12 or so, probably would have rathered been doing something else.


I like chess, though am rusty.
