I had friends who had a beach property up the mid north coast and they did that before they built. It turned out amazing and very roomy. They didn't even bother building after that and just added to the containers.

If I can find some pics I will post them.

Yes, I had one for years but used it for storage. If you have a difficult spot where you need it placed you can employ a truck with a crane which will lift it up and plop it wherever you want.

I've slept in dongers when working in remote areas and once on a trip.

they are a bit narrow, bolting 2 together in an L shape might be ok.

Or parallel to give twice the width.
