Sorry but I picture people dancing around parks with flowers in their hair as ... well ... smelly ... and probably are so full of fake love, flowers, drugs, crappy music and feigned sexual freedom they probably haven't showered for a week.

That's the point I am trying to make. I don't need hippie songs to get me in to the mood of peace. I don't like that era and certainly not as a crutch.

You cannot 'convert' people to your way of thinking by pushing hippie songs on them

I don't give a damn about the hippie era or the terrible hippie songs, sorry, as they remind me of smelly armpits, hirsute legs, beards and drugs. I am at peace without the special effects or pseudo crutches. I don't need them.

Maybe a song will give you momentary peace but to find true inner peace and meaning you have to find it from within. You also have to love yourself and lead others by example ... not with songs. If you are a truly good and peaceful person you just need to be yourself and show others how it is really done

Ahh - but songs have a way of appealing to emotions rather than logic.
