more laughs from Yassmin

Possibly feeling a little ignored lately, what with Tarneen Onus-Williams’s rise to prominence, Yassmin Abdel-Magied recently won some on-air affection from the BBC.

Abdel-Magied’s lack of insight into her situation remains remarkable. She quotes her mother: “Nobody has handed you anything on a platter. The only being that has helped you is Allah.”

Well, Allah and the Australian taxpayers. And the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Here’s the BBC’s glowing summary of matters involving Yassmin and fellow tragic victim Munroe Bergdorf:

Are women treated unfairly on social media, and is the situation worse for women of colour? Krupa Padhy meets two social activists who unexpectedly found themselves at the centre of a digital storm, and asks what happened next.
Munroe Bergdorf is a British model, DJ and social activist who came to public attention in 2017 when she was employed as the first transgender model in a L'Oreal cosmetics campaign. She was dropped by the company after a social media post in which she said all white people were guilty of racial violence, prompting a swift backlash. She says her words were taken out of context but she stands by them. Munroe received rape and death threats for weeks, but she fought back, has secured a new beauty contract and is now a public speaker on race issues.

Yassmin Abdel-Magied is a Sudanese-Australian engineer, writer and activist who was named Queensland Young Australian of the Year 2015. However just two years later she found herself facing a barrage of criticism after posting a seven word status online that was seen by many as disrespectful to fallen soldiers on Anzac Day. Although she apologised immediately, she says that didn't stop her becoming the most publicly hated Muslim in Australia, and the months of abuse only calmed down when she left the country for good.

At one point in the interview Abdel-Magied complains about being abandoned by various institutions after she turned against Australia, claiming they were happy to be associated with her in the good times. Well, of course they were; at that stage, Abdel-Magied was harmless diversity decoration.

But even businesses and government entities aiming to score multi-culti bonus points will generally have little time for a person who takes advice from Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Yassmin Abdel-Magied in damage control after “It’s OK to beat your wife” video
zerofilter1 / April 14, 2017
Hypocritical Islamic “feminist” Yassmin Abdel-Magied has taken to Twitter in an embarrassing attempt to cover up the video released by Hizb ut-Tahrir where two Islamic women defended the right for Muslim men to beat their wives.

In a 30 minute discussion filmed and uploaded to the Hizb ut-Tahrir Facebook page a Sydney primary school teacher, Reem Allouche, said it is permissible for Muslim MEN to beat their wives with sticks under the teachings of Muhammed.

The video has already received wide condemnation from people such as TODAY’s Ben Fordham saying “It’s assault, it’s illegal, it’s wrong”. However, it seems our beloved Islamic feminist Yassmin Abdel-Magied is trying to convince her Twitter followers that Islam does not condone violence against women in response to the Hizb ut-Tahrir video in a “Nothing to see here, move along” type fashion.

We all remember the fiery exchange between Yassmin Abdel Magied and Jacqui Lambie on Q&A where Yassmin described herself as feminist Muslim. One can’t help but think that incident has something to with that she has her tail between her legs at the moment amid the uproar that the video has caused.

Here are a few of Yassmin’s Tweets:

In Australia, >1 woman is killed A WEEK at the hands of partner(or ex). Domestic Violence, in all + any form, is unacceptable. End of story

YASSMIN Abdel-Magied has lashed out at Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton’s “deeply racist” offer to fast-track humanitarian visas for South Africa’s persecuted white farmers, saying priority should instead be given to the Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslim minority.

The controversial Muslim activist and author described the offer, which comes after South Africa’s parliament signalled its intention to confiscate land from white farmers without compensation, as an “absolute joke”.

South African farmers, largely from the white Afrikaner minority, have been subjected to an escalating campaign of attacks characterised by extreme brutality, rape and torture, with 82 people killed in a record 423 incidents last year.

Writing on Twitter, Ms Abdel-Magied hit out at Mr Dutton’s “racism” for appearing to suggest that white South Africans would be more law-abiding than other groups, saying “white people break the law all the time”.
