New Year's Eve

Post by Neferti » Sat Dec 30, 2017 3:47 pm

I haven't done anything for NYE for eons .... does anybody go out to party, watch the fireworks, or something, or just sit at home until you are too tired and head to bed, BEFORE the clock chimes midnight?

I usually try to watch the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Here's this years.

If you have Scottish heritage, well worth watching.

I never go out on NYE -
what a waste of time -
it's just a number.

I don't go out anymore either. It's way too hot and I cannot stand the crowds we have here at NY now.

Well I watched the 9.00pm fireworks and they were lame. They did nothing with the Bridge. I always thought the early ones were the same as the midnight one but on a smaller scale.

I hope the main ones are better. Last year's were awesome!

Yep, for Sydney I was disappointed - when featured, the bridge is spectacular - simply stunning imo.
I'll always watch Sydney's display rather than Melbourne's though. We have nothing to highlight that compares to the Bridge.
