Bennelong

Post by Black Orchid » Fri Dec 15, 2017 10:08 am

Keneally won't win that is a given but Alexander is a tad wishy washy so he may get a SLIGHT run for his money.

Both sides need to be aware of what the future holds though. Mass immigration in the hope of getting votes is a very slippery slope to tread. Put enough non western nationalities together and let them dominate whole areas and eventually they will just govern themselves.
An angry open letter urging Chinese Australians to "take down the far-right Liberal Party ruling party" by voting against John Alexander in the Bennelong byelection has been shared on social media by a man who allegedly met the Chinese Communist Party's department tasked with overseas influence activities.

The 1700-word letter, attributed to "a group of Chinese who call Australia home", urged people to support Labor's candidate, Kristina Keneally.

"When we look at the Liberal Party we see it's already totally different from before. It's a far-right ruling party and they are privately against China, against Chinese, against ethnic-Chinese migrants and against Chinese international students," it reads in part.

"For the interests of Chinese people, let us mobilise, share this message and use the ballots in the hands of we Chinese to take down this far-right Liberal Party ruling party".
Don't laugh lefties if you don't act like the good little puppets you like to be you will be in the cross hairs too. Wake up!!
The letter emphasises how crucial the Bennelong byelection was for the nation and Chinese community.
"Let us say together: vote against the Liberal Party, protect the dignity of we Chinese!" it says.

While it is not known who authored the letter, it is being shared on the popular Chinese social media app Wechat by Yan Zehua, an Australian citizen who lives in Sydney. Mr Yan is vice president of the Australian Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, which was until recently run by controversial Chinese political donor Huang Xiangmo and has a parent group in China run by officials from the United Front Work Department, a Chinese Communist Party body responsible for building overseas influence.
The letter also accused the Liberal Party of breaking down mutual trust with China and of being "hostile" in the South China Sea.
Objecting to China trying to assert their dominance in the South China Sea is not 'hostile' behaviour.
Xiong Huning, a member of the Sydney Chinese community acquainted with Yan Zehua, said that local Chinese associations have been working hard to encourage Chinese to vote for Ms Keneally.

"These hometown associations are close to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office", a Chinese government body engaged in united front work, Mr Xiong said.

China's President, Xi Jinping, has described United Front Work as a "magic weapon", and the secretive department's importance within the party has been elevated with this renewed emphasis on its mission, which includes overseas influence activities.
The letter appears to reflect growing tensions between the Chinese and Australian governments as Australia has begun taking action against perceived undue influence in Australia by China

Swamp the nation with Commies and what do you expect? Some of you lefties are so pathetic in your cheering you can't even see the big picture. Although the Libs definitely need to be held accountable for this as well the fact is that BOTH our major parties have irrevocably changed the face of Australia in ways which are not good.

Alexander will not lose Bennelong but, if he did, that slippery slope will just get steeper and that is nothing to cheer about.

Talk about mentally challenged.

Keneally
When Ms Keneally announced her candidacy, she blamed the Coalition for the closure of the Eastwood Medicare office.

Days later and the Department of Human Services general manager, Hank Jongen, told Fairfax Media the decision had been made in 2013 - when Labor was in office.
Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham said Ms Keneally "as premier was happy to cut $318 million out of New South Wales schools".

Ms Keneally said "education funding increased in every key area under my government".
Australian politicians might care to look at a report released on Thursday by the World Economic Forum that found Australia is at the bottom of a list of 15 countries that ranks people's levels of trust in their governments.

At the top place were Switzerland and Indonesia where 82 per cent of people trust their governments.

Last came Australia where only 43 per cent of people said they trust the government.

Truth is an essential part of trust.

If the behaviour by all participants in the Bennelong byelection is anything to go by, it's no wonder trust is at such a low.

And so on and on and on it goes. The quality of our politicians for both LNP and ALP is nothing short of embarrassing. Who would cheer for any of them?

Get with the program. Take them ALL to task. Make our upcoming politicians be accountable so that they learn what their job description is and who they really work for ... us.

Dastyari is living proof of what they care about Power and The Party.
It's a game to them like Game of Thrones... power is all that counts, the party comes first... Australia and Australians come last.
