Man hides for 10 yrs to escape nagging wife lol
Man hides in forest for 10 years to escape 'nagging wife'
A British man became so fed up with his wife’s nagging that one day he just 'upped and left' to hide in the woods for 10 years.
Malcolm Applegate, a 62-year-old gardener, had been married to his wife for three years before her relentless pestering became “too much”, he told the Daily Mail.
“For three years it was alright, we got on with one another and the gardening got too much for her,” said Applegate.
The more work I took on, the angrier my wife got — she didn't like me being out of the house for long periods of time.
"The controlling behaviour started to get out of hand and she demanded that I cut my hours."
Applegate said it was at this point he decided to pack up and leave for good, without a word to anyone, including his family.
"I went missing from them for ten years," he added.
It took Applegate three weeks to walk from Oxford to London before he camped out in “thick woodland” near Kingston, south west London, where he worked on gardens at a nearby community centre for the elderly.
He said three others were also camping in the same area and they would sometimes see each other at the community centre, where they went for a shower.
"No one knew we were there. It's not well known — nobody would go in there.”
Over his decade sleeping rough, Applegate also lost touch with his sister who went looking for him but feared he was dead.
However, he said the pair now had “a great relationship” after he wrote her a letter when he was settled into a new home.
He now lives at a homeless shelter in Greenwich, south London, where he does “odd jobs” and raises money for charities in the area.
"I have a lovely room, I am able to work and I can still lead an active social life — I love it here my life is officially back on track."

Probably sat around on his fat arse and did absolutely NOTHING around the house. Good move that he "disappeared" since he was bloody hopeless anyway.
Now he is getting older he wants everybody to feel sorry for him.

This woman has committed domestic violence on her husband.
I am disappointed the ladies here agree with her actions and further abuse the man

Ahhh the joys of no nagging wife and a carefree life in the wilderness.
But he only suffered for 3 years.............. I have endured 30. You get less for murder you know.

I'll have you know that I have 2 sons and I hope they don't end up marrying a nag like this poor guy did.
And based on my own personal experience....I strongly recommend that if you're stuck in a very unhappy marriage that's going nowhere...get out of it. Life's too short. Don't waste it being miserable. BE HAPPY
