Obviously. Only a psychiatrist could explain it.
as a matter of fact I know someone whos son has been dressing as a girl since he was able to dress himself...

he about 9 now...all I know is he is only allowed to wear dresses when at home..his mum doesnt talk about it..
but this child has always done it...so I dont think they are mad or do it for attention....
Does this little boy have older sisters? Perhaps he saw them dressing up in Princess dresses and wanted to do the same. Perhaps the Mother wanted a girl and got a boy? Who knows? I can't believe that little kids know whether they want to be of the opposite sex or not.
I believe in being fair minded and if this person wishes to take drugs for the rest of their life so they feel comfortable and happy..

thats their business...but I would presume they also make a fair amount of testosterone .. it doesnt make for a fair playing field and they should accept that...play darts or snooker...
Sure, if a blokey bloke wants to dress up as a female, fine. Lots of males have made a career of dressing up as a female. Case in point. Dame Edna!

However, this guy, Hannah Wheelbarrow, reckons he is a girl and wants to play Footy with the girls. Why doesn't the AFL allow him/her to play footy with the boys? He would look good in the shorts, I am sure. :rofl

well you dont seem to be taking this seriously so not much point in discussing it..

as for this child.. yes he has an older sister...by 2 years I think...

I dont seriously know all that much...as the mum doesnt bring it up.. all I know is he is still inclined that way...
I believe they tend to ignore it...he looks just like a little boy racing around when I have seen him...but likes nail polish for every day wear..

he isnt making any sex demands yet as far as I know....all I am saying is...would repressing these urges make them go away/???..

as for Hannah... I dont see it as nonsense...

He is NINE! He is trying to copy somebody, maybe his sister. Who knows? Does this little 9 year old boy have a father? IF he doesn't see his father, perhaps he should ... I think he is relating to his Mother and sister. Poor little boy ...

My kids liked to take their nappies off, smear shit and finger paint the walls with it.

Perhaps I shouldnt have discouraged them?
Do you think I've repressed their urges and the reason they spend so long in the dunny now is that they're secretly choking a darkie into the shape of a crayon and writing down the next thesis on overcoming SSD (shit smearers discrimination) to be pushed out the bowels of LaTrobe?

you wouldnt have a clue nef.. not a clue....yet you call it nonsense...
he does see his father on a regular basis.. he was doin g this long before they split up...and yes he has been taken to specialists as I said the mum
doesnt talk about it so it isnt something we know a lot about....I just mentioned it because he has been dressing up since he was a toddler...which I imagine a few transgenders do...I give Hannah a big tick for courage to be honest.

Here you go, Cods, read all about cross gender behaviour of children, including cross dressing. Interesting article. Some of the questions I asked are covered. I didn't mean to upset you, sorry.

thanks nef we have all done a fair bit of reading up on the subject we have known this child from birth...I only brought it up because
this is not one of those one size fits all...cases... this is a male who has had a problem for a long time..

.my daughter works with a few where .. they are getting special treatment...[in the work place]which I reckon will do more harm than good.. but its the way they work these days..

she works with a male who arrives at work dressed as a male goes into the ladies and changes into female attire.
and wants to be treated like a women she even changes her voice...now you can guess what goes on...but now someone only has to raise an eyebrow and she can complain and the next thing all sort of memos are sent around telling everyone how to behave how not to look or stare or comment...if she wants a transfer she gets it straight away...its a very difficult situation....and now we see the way the gay community is handling their sudden importance !!! their VOTING NUMBERS.have increased... and their demands get bigger....

this isnt like being born with 12 toes....there is no simple answer most hope they will grow out of it...I believe Brad Pitt and Jolie have a daughter who refuses to dress like a girl...and has done so since she was able to talk...

in my case.. the parent that we still see the mum.. doesnt talk about it...and it isnt something you ask about is it??>..all we know is he wears nail polish to school..

Yes, it must be perplexing for all.

THIS is the problem with the "legislation" ... discrimination for all to sue The Government. Amazing.

I bet he is married or has a female partner?

Cross Dressers are NOT homosexual ... or transgender, necessarily. This little 9-year old ... does he get bullied at school for being "soft" .. or sooky?
this isnt like being born with 12 toes....there is no simple answer most hope they will grow out of it...I believe Brad Pitt and Jolie have a daughter who refuses to dress like a girl...and has done so since she was able to talk...
I was about to say "what about girls who prefer to wear jeans, climb trees, and kick a football" ... would anybody get their knickers in a twist about that? They were just called Tom Boys once upon a time. They grew up, got married, had kids and so forth. Nobody ever thought that they would "turn out" to be lesbians.
in my case.. the parent that we still see the mum.. doesnt talk about it...and it isnt something you ask about is it??>..all we know is he wears nail polish to school..
I can understand that. She doesn't know what to say so doesn't discuss it. In any event, a kid of 9 wanting to "cross dress" is no big deal. He probably needs to be directed into something "artistic" at school and at HOME. Is he good at art or something? Perhaps he is just a sensitive boy ....

NOT all males who are sensitive are homosexual. Not that there is anything wrong about that. :rose
