Both my Grandfathers as well as one Grandmother all worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII.
For those who do not know the Manhattan Project was the biggest secret of WWII as it was the project to develop both the Nuclear Uranium and Plutonium Fission Bombs.
The Uranium Fission Bomb used a Gun Barrel design as an amount of weapons grade Uranium was SHOT down a length of BARREL into a larger amount of weapons grade Uranium which achieved critical mass and a the resulting Fission Reaction and Nuclear Detonation as this device the first nuclear bomb ever used in combat known as Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima. Little Boy had a blast equal to 15 kilotons of TNT.
A Plutonium Fission Device known as Fat Man was then dropped on Nagasaki refers generically to the early design of the bomb, because it had a wide, round shape. It was also known as the Mark III. Fat Man was an implosion-type nuclear weapon with a solid plutonium core. The first of that type to be detonated was the Gadget, in the Trinity nuclear test, less than a month earlier on 16 July at the Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range in New Mexico. Fat Man had a blast equal to 21 kilotons of TNT.
My Grandfathers and one Grandmother all worked on the Manhattan Project and one of my Grandfathers developed cancer due to his work on the project and we know for certain it was his work with nuclear weapons grade fuel that caused his cancer as there is NO HISTORY OF CANCER IN MY FAMILY on either side prior to this or since.
Now as far as wouldn't I try anything to try to save either a relative or myself for dying of cancer the answer is NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
